2025-02-18: Hands-On Exercise in the “Medicine 1” Lecture: Students Develop Simulation Models of Urinary Bladder Valves

As part of the “Medicine 1” lecture, students constructed models to illustrate either the valve function of the urinary bladder or the corresponding surgical principle. The objective was to design cost-effective, reproducible and hygienically safe teaching tools, either as cut-out models or using easily accessible materials with a detailed construction guide.

The exercise included the entire development process from concept to finished model, documented in a report complete with photos. This project impressively demonstrates how creative solutions can contribute to medical education, especially in resource-limited settings.
