About the PLRI Archive
The Archive of the Peter L. Reichertz Institute for Medical Informatics of TU Braunschweig and of Hannover Medical School (the PLRI Archive) contains documents and objects by or about Professor Peter L. Reichertz (20.9.1930 – 6.8.1987) and about the journal Methods of Information in Medicine. The archive also contains documents and objects about Professor Dietrich-Peter Pretschner (1.5.1938 – 24.8.2007), about the Yearbook of Medical Informatics of the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) and about the Institute itself. The PLRI Archive is curated by Reinhold Haux with the support of Ina Hoffmann. Some exhibits from the PLRI Archive are presented on this website.
Exhibits
From the early work of Professor Reichertz are here four documents
- on signal analysis (here the electrointestinogram) from 1960 (in German),
- on computer diagnostics from 1967,
- on the Medical System Hannover from 1972 (all taken from his reprints collection)
- and his first publication in Methods of Information in Medicine on a multi-purpose computer program for storage and retrievel of reference files from 1968.
It may be of interest to review and discuss the contents of these papers from a current perspective.
