2024-07-25: Meeting of specialist representatives 2024
The working group of subject representatives for medical informatics, biometry and epidemiology Informatics, Biometry and Epidemiology at medical faculties were invited to a conference at the State and University Library in
Göttingen from June 27 to June 28, 2024 for a conference.
The participants were welcomed by Antje Timmer (Department of Epidemiology and Biometry, University Medical Center Oldenburg) and Tim Friede (Institute for Medical Statistics, University Medical Center Göttingen).
On June 27, introductory lectures were given by Julian Kunkel (Data Science and AI in the Life Sciences, Göttingen) and Anne-Christin Hauschild (Transfer Learning Concepts and their Application in Molecular Data, Göttingen).
Ms. Hauschild reported, for example, on the development of her research projects with a wide range of possible applications of machine learning.
In the evening, there was the opportunity to take part in a guided tour of Göttingen on the subject of “Ingenious discoveries, technical revolutions and Nobel Prizes”, followed by dinner.
On June 28, introductory lectures were given by Tim Mathes (register as a study platform for linking randomized
and non-randomized studies) and Norbert Benda (Current statistical topics in the regulation of drugs).
