Summary
The overall objective of the Horizon 2020 project "FAIR4Health" is to support and promote the European medical scientific community in sharing and reusing medical data from publicly funded research using the FAIR principle (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). To this end, the potential positive impact of such a strategy on disease progression and healthcare in general will be demonstrated. The vision for 2020 is an open community of European medical research institutions implementing the Horizon 2020 "Open Research Data" (ORD) initiative to improve the knowledge economy and research excellence by applying the FAIR principles.
