Summary
The Health Bank of Lower Saxony was founded within the project eHealth.Braunschweig by BITZ (Braunschweiger Informatik- und Technologie-Zentrum) in Braunschweig.
The primary goal is to offer services that allow healthcare providers and other stakeholders to improve the communication and cooperation within the health care network. This should be possible in particular for health care processes with more than one stekeholder involved in the treatment of a patient.
Peter L. Reichertz Institute maintains the scientific research within eHealth.Bank projects and deals with the exploration and evaluation of new transinstitutional forms of organization and the evaluation of new transinstitutional information system architectures and services.
