Summary

The introduction of new digital technologies in the higher education landscape plays a decisive role in the development of future-oriented educational concepts. However, it also results in didactic and technological challenges for digital education and learning. In order to meet these challenges, the universities in Lower Saxony require continuous innovation so that their teaching and study programmes remain competitive at a high level both nationally and internationally. Against this background, the Lower Saxony joint project Digitale Lehre Hub Niedersachsen aims to create cross-university synergies and sustainable structures to promote digital education. The aim is to further develop the quality of digital education through even better accessibility to media didactic programmes.

The state-wide joint project Digitale Lehre Hub Niedersachsen, initiated as part of the Hochschule.digital Niedersachsen, comprises a total of six sub-projects.
The working group "Digital Education" at the PLRI in Hanover is involved in two sub-projects:

• Sub-project 4 ‘Cooperation of services in the field of digital teaching - media didactics’
• Sub-project 5 ‘AI in studies, teaching and examinations’.
