In the research project Braunschweig2030, we are investigating how new, innovative living environments with a high quality of life can be created for all generations and for as many life situations as possible in a city in the future, taking into account the opportunities offered by demographic change and the prospect of a significantly higher life expectancy. In doing so, we focus on life 'on the doorstep' and 'behind the door', i.e. life at home and in the immediate vicinity - in the neighborhood. Housing and mobility are considered together and also from new, additional perspectives.
Desgin. The many different offers and projects for life on and behind the doorstep in Braunschweig will be brought together in an overall concept.
Living. The new living environments are being shaped in particular by new combinations of assistive technologies, services and volunteer work, but also by new forms of service. In addition, the project will investigate which sustainable framework conditions are necessary for this.
Together. An innovative, continuous scientific dialogue with citizens is part of a joint development and evaluation process
