A prototype (version 1) was created and tested by patients in the rehabilitation center and by patients at home. The results of the field test were incorporated into a further development (version 2). A pilot study evaluated the technical feasibility and acceptance by rehabilitation patients and their supervising therapists. Minor improvements were incorporated into version 3, which is currently being tested in a comparative effectiveness study.
