Smart Car

General aim
The aim of the research area is to investigate the smart car in its role as a diagnostic space. There are fields of action ranging from the prevention of diseases to the improvement of driver condition recognition. This research encompasses several sub-areas with specific questions.
Based on the mobile environment itself, the design of a safe, comfortable driving environment is one of the central sub-areas with the following sub-goals:
- Development of vehicle-centered assistive health technologies.
- Use and evaluation of technical assistance systems to support comfortable and safe driving.
- Development and testing of methods for data collection and analysis in the context of smart cars.
With regard to the establishment as a healthcare location, there is a further sub-area whose sub-goals are primarily oriented towards the medical domain. They include the development and evaluation of methods for the implementation or support of:
- Medical, psychological, or physiotherapeutic diagnostics.
- Therapeutic procedures.
- Prevention measures.
