2026-02-18: SPIE 2026: Prof. Deserno als Juror beim JMI Posterwettbewerb

On 18 February 2026, the technical event “Student 3-Minute Poster Presentations,” sponsored by the Journal of Medical Imaging, took place as part of this year’s SPIE conference. In East Exhibition Hall A, students selected for a JMI poster session presented their research projects in concise three-minute presentations.

The posters covered the following areas:

• Image Processing
• Computer-Aided Diagnosis
• Clinical and Biomedical Imaging
• Ultrasonic Imaging and Tomography
• Digital and Computational Pathology

Prof. Deserno participated as a juror and evaluated the presentations together with members of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Medical Imaging. Both the scientific content and the effectiveness of the presentation were assessed. The top three presentations received cash prizes.

The award winners were:

1st Place: Owen Dong, Vanderbilt University, Tennessee, USA
2nd Place: Grace Minesinger, University of Wisconsin–Madison, Wisconsin, USA
3rd Place: Marusia Shevchuk, University of British Columbia, British Columbia, Canada
