2026-06-01: New research initiative: vital sign monitoring on an e-bike

Our institute is expanding its research on vital data acquisition to include an e-bike.

The goal is to transfer the sensor solutions used in our research vehicle for contactless monitoring of vital signs such as heart rate and respiration to an e-bike setup and to test them under real-world conditions.

The project aims to generate new insights into mobile health monitoring and to explore potential applications in traffic safety and rider state detection.
