2025-07-06: "The Winners of the PSD HerzFahrt 2025"

The PLRI successfully participated in this year's PSD Heart Ride from 6 to 13 July with a team.

The team came in 28th place out of 447 participating teams.

The community raised €22,000 for the Society of Friends of the MHH, which will benefit paediatric cardiology and paediatric intensive care medicine.

The paediatric cardiology department at the MHH will use the donation to purchase a diagnostic system for three-dimensional imaging. ‘This imaging allows us to plan operations more precisely, as it enables us to separate heart structures and display them individually,’ explains Dr. Christoph Happel, senior physician at the cardiac catheterisation laboratory. Since this type of visualisation has been in use, it has also made it easier to discuss the operation with parents beforehand, as the planned procedures can be clearly illustrated. Clinic Director Prof. Dr. Philipp Beerbaum comments: ‘We are delighted with the successful use of 3D imaging and the commitment of PSD Bank Hannover, which has made this possible.
